Our Mission

Originally founded in 2017, The Functional Nutrition Library is here to make the principles of functional nutrition accessible to anyone interested in learning.

Rather than starting from scratch when you have a question about current best practices, lab interpretation, or diet recommendations, lean on our database as a go-to resource.

Why You Can Trust Our Content

Robust Editorial Policies

We’re two independent dietitians, interested in making functional nutrition information more widely accessible. We read and interpret the research and pass it on to you.

We reference everything

Any time we share a nutrition fact, stat, or best practice, it’s fully referenced with links to the supporting journal article(s). If an opinion is ever shared, it is clearly labeled as such.

Updated Bi-Weekly

New or updated content is released every two weeks, ensuring our database continues to grow and stay up to date. We send an email your way any time there’s new content to be aware of.

No conflicts of interest

We are not funded by, affiliated with, or compensated by any outside sources. This website is 100% funded by paying members.

Created by nutrition professionals

Everyone who works on our team is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who has earned at least a Masters in Nutritional Science, completed at least 1,200 hours of supervised practice in the nutrition field, and passed a national board exam.
